This will be my 17th year participating.... Where does the time go...? It boggles my mind that Chris biked 50 miles at The Dempsey Challenge 17 years ago and 25 miles 16 years ago while in treatment for S4 Colon cancer. Chis was determined to focus on training, and completing that ride and NOT on his cancer. I will forever be thankful for the Dempsey Challenge for that.
We, in the state of Maine are SO fortunate to have access to The Dempsey Centers. The Centers help make life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects, by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost. Our phenominal Orange Dragons Against Cancer Team has raised over $250,000 for the Dempsey Centers. What a huge accomplishment!
