Dempsey Center and its founder are pretty special to me. He saved my life. Dempsey Center restored my passion for healing. I was a care partner for my grandmother in 2006 when my passion for healing and medicine began. Now I get to help a place that helps those affected by cancer in a way that I wasn't able to help my grandmother. I didn't know how then. Being a part of Dempsey Center and Dempsey Challenge is my way of honoring her, and the rest of my family and friends who have been affected by cancer.
The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.
