This will be my 7th year participating in the 2025 Dempsey Challenge in honor of one of my dearest friends, Marcy Cox — a beautiful soul who lost her courageous battle with Cholangiocarcinoma in August 2018, just 10 months after her diagnosis. Marcy faced each day with strength, grace, and an unshakable spirit. I carry her memory with me along with my grandmother, Marie and other family members who also lost thier battle to cancer
The Dempsey Center brings light into the lives of those affected by cancer. They offer healing, comfort, and hope through counseling, integrative therapies, and a wide range of support services at no cost to patients, survivors, and their families. Their mission is to make life better for people managing the emotional, physical, and practical challenges of cancer — and they do it with compassion at every step.
