I am riding in the Dempsey Challenge again this year to support their care for cancer families, patients, and survivors. This is my page for this year.

The Dempsey Center gives people struggling with cancer or around cancer the best  wellness careI can imagine. I remember going to the Dempsey Center when my Dad was in the last stages of lung cancer and asking for some games and journals to share, because they give those kinds of things out, and I saw hand made hats and afghans from one o their craft classes, so I asked if I could buy one. They said just take one and so we recieved a warm hat and a beutiful blue, tan and white afghan that he used for the rest of his days. The afghan is on my Mom's couch still.

The year after my dad lost his battle with lung cancer, my sister in-law and I did a similar ride, and we made a prayer flag for that ride. For two years after that, our flag continued to be flown on the bridge at the end of the ride. The Dempsey Center is truly amazing in the way they care for their families and any who seek them out. This is just who the Dempsey Center people are and what the center itself is.
