Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page for this year's Dempsey Challenge!

Back in 2018, my father, Trevor Maxwell, was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer. Being from Maine, we had heard of the Dempsey Center—but we never could have predicted just how much of an impact it would have on our lives.

Through support groups, counseling sessions, and so many other incredible resources, the Dempsey Center helped my dad feel a little more grounded and less alone in the face of a terrifying diagnosis. With their support, he found the strength not only to keep going—but to reach out and lift others up, too.

In 2020, my dad founded Man Up to Cancer, a nonprofit focused on helping men facing cancer connect, share, and fight isolation. What started as a small community has grown into a powerful movement of support for thousands of men and their families.

I’m incredibly proud to be his daughter. I’ll always be grateful to the Dempsey Center for everything they’ve done—not just for my dad, but for our entire family.
