Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page for this year's Dempsey Challenge!

This year I will take on a very challenging ride to help support the Dempsey Center.  I will be riding in memory of a dear friend, Cathleen Samborski.  I had the privilege of working with Cathleen but best of all I had the honor of calling her my friend. Cathleen was diagnosed wiht kidney cancer in March of '23.  Her journey with cancer ended this past December.  During our many adventures in Portland and Ogunquit for lunch, Cathleen shared how wonderful the Dempsey Center was for her.  She raved about the people, the programming and the difference it was making in her life. She shared this with the biggest of smiles and a genuine joy in her voice. 

I miss my friend and will be thinking of her with each pedal stroke.  As a nurse she impacted countless people's lives and as a friend she made a big difference in mine. I hope you will support this life changing organization and help me in honoring Cathleen's memory by sponsoring my ride.

The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.
