This year, I’ll be participating in the Dempsey Challenge for the fourth time, supporting a cause that’s deeply personal to me. The Dempsey Center provides vital services—massage therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, wig fittings, and more—to cancer patients and their families across Maine. These services aren’t just helpful—they’re healing. I saw that firsthand when my mom received their compassionate care during her breast cancer journey seven years ago. Sadly, she wasn’t able to access those services this year as she faced metastatic breast cancer with incredible courage. On April 4th, she lost her battle—but I know she remained a proud supporter of the Dempsey Center and its mission to make life better for those affected by cancer. I’m riding in her memory.
