2025 Desert Pet Walk

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter and Desert Wildlife Center are excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual Desert Pet Walk! You, along with your family, friends, and pets, are invited to join us Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:00AM-12:00 Noon.

Bring your family, friends, and pets for a fun-filled neighborhood walk through the Demuth Park area of Palm Springs. The walk begins and ends at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, located at 4575 E. Mesquite Ave, with route options for pets and people of all abilities.

Click on the REGISTER TO WALK button to get started.  We'll set up a fundraising page for you, which you can send to your friends and family to support you. Consider making a donation along with your registration to kick off your fundraising (and earn some goodies too).

Join us at the Desert Pet Walk Kickoff Party on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Play Lounge in Palm Springs to jumpstart your efforts. The goal of the kickoff party is to encourage early registrations, recruit 30 Team Captains, and inspire participants to begin raising funds to support local animals and wildlife.

Below are the details about the exciting challenges and incentives designed to reward your efforts and make a meaningful impact during the Desert Pet Walk.

Team Captain Challenge

We’re looking to recruit 30 Team Captains this year to maximize our impact. Here’s how you can get involved:

• Become a Team Captain.

• Build a team of 10 walkers.

• Raise a minimum of $1,000 per team.

Team Captains who successfully complete these steps will receive a Desert Pet Walk Palm Springs Animal Shelter & Desert Wildlife Certificate of Accomplishment—a framed recognition to proudly display your support for the cause.

Recruiter Challenge

If you’re passionate about our mission and love rallying others, this challenge is for you!

• Recruit Team Captains who build teams of 10 walkers and raise a minimum of $1,000 per team.

• The recruiter who appoints the most qualifying Team Captains will receive a custom engraved plaque recognizing their outstanding contribution to the Desert Pet Walk mission.

Individual Fundraising Goals

We have exciting individual fundraising goals that offer great rewards for your efforts:

• Raise $250 or more:
  Receive an exclusive Desert Pet Walk t-shirt to proudly display your support for the shelter and the animals we care for. This stylish shirt is also a great conversation starter to spread awareness about our cause.

• Raise $500 or more:
  In addition to the t-shirt, you’ll also receive a cozy and stylish Desert Pet Walk sweatshirt. This is the perfect way to stay comfortable while showing off your exceptional fundraising efforts.
