We tragically lost Desiree Pulliam, a very loved member of our BVSPCA family, on the afternoon of May 30th at just 29 years old. Des was the Behavior Coordinator at our New Castle Campus, where she worked for almost three years. As was her nature, Des used her break at work to help a friend with a flat tire on I-295 in Carneys Point Township, NJ. The car was struck by a tractor trailer driven by an allegedly intoxicated driver, killing Des and another individual.
Des was a bright light. She had an easy smile and laugh, and her instinct with the animals was like few others. The animals adored her. Countless dogs who struggled to find homes and might not otherwise have been adoption candidates now enjoy the love of the family thanks to Des.
Please join us in supporting her family with a donation to the Des Pulliam Memorial Fund. These funds will help the family with funeral, legal and other expenses as they say goodbye to their beloved sister, daughter, partner and friend.
