Ever since I was a teen ive seen those around me be affected by different forms of brain tumors, a close friend in high school had been blind since a child due to the surgeries and unfortunately passed some time after graduation. A cousin in law had and was lucky enough to survive after surgery, and then a year ago a friend's little girl was diagnosed and fought like hell for the last year trying to beat it. Something no 3 year old should ever have to go through. She was such an incredible example of strength and resilience. She just recently lost her battle and when I saw that this was a listed charity i knew that this was the one. I was going to do this challenge, and help fundraise to do so!  Im not a runner, i cant even run for a solid minute, but that sweet girl gives me drive to push my limits. So I challenged myself to the charity Bib for the 10k and the half marathon. More knowledge and research is needed, so that our kids have a better chance of fighting what comes at them. I am honored to be able to be a part of this. Im fundraising to help facilitate change, and support and research towards treatments and hopefully eventually a cure for childhood brain cancer.
