Canine Companions gave me the biggest gift of my life, my dog Tropper. I was born with a progressive hearing loss disorder and lost all hearing at 14. I applied for a CC dog in 2021 and this fall got matched with Trooper, my hearing service dog. Trooper has changed my life, and I have Canine Companions to thank. They gave me my favorite gift and my hearing back. They are amazing, and now I want to give back to them.
I'm participating in DogFest Long Island-Northeast Region because I love Canine Companions. I love dogs and know the joy they bring to our lives each and every day. I also believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Leading up to DogFest Long Island-Northeast Region, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible.
