Just last month, we attended the graduation ceremony for Rileigh, the dog we co-raised and had spent nearly 16 months to help raise.. It was an emotional, but wonderful day for Karen and me to see her again and then to be there in New Albany, Ohio to hand her leash over to Dan. And seeing the smile on his face when he looked down at Rileigh, and Rileigh’s tail wagging when he did was something I will always remember.
I'm participating in DogFest North Central because I love dogs and know the joy they bring to our lives each and every day. I also believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Leading up to DogFest North Central, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible.
