The title says it all! If any of you have had the pleasure of meeting my amazing, wonderfully- trained service dog, Feivel, then you know just how INCREDIBLE these dogs, trained by Canine Companions, are! I have had Feivel for over nine years now and he has completely changed my life in a way that I cannot even begin to describe. My complex medical challenges have taken away so much of my ability to live my life independently. However, everything changed after I got Feivel. He came to me already trained with over 40 commands, all meant to assist me so I do not have to depend on others. Another key point to bring up is the value of just having him in my life! As much as I need him, he needs me just as much for his daily care. We both depend on each other and thus have formed an unshakable bond. He has been a much needed source of companionship. Although I was able to add some photos to this fundraising page, I was not able to add videos. I'm participating in DogFest North Central because I love dogs and know the joy they bring to our lives each and every day. I also believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Leading up to DogFest North Central, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible. Help me get to my fundraising goal by donating online so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions service dogs into the lives of those who need them.
