Scripture reminds us to honor the elderly among us. Serving those older and wiser has always been at the heart of my ministry. The Vanadzor Old Age Home is a special FAR program that reflects this calling, by providing care, comfort, and community for vulnerable elderly residents, many of whom have no family.
For my 60th birthday, I invite you to join me in honoring them!
The best gift you can give me is to make is a donation in my honor (large or small!) toward the home. Our specific goal is to fund the renovation of the common recreation room in the home, creating safer and more dignified living conditions for the residents.
Project Description
The Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) is undertaking the renovation of the common room at the Vanadzor Old Age Home (VOAH), one of Armenia’s most vital long-term care institutions for elderly individuals who have no family support or are unable to care for themselves. Located in the Lori region, VOAH serves dozens of elderly residents—many of whom have endured war, displacement, poverty, and isolation. For these individuals, the Old Age Home is not simply a facility, but their permanent home and primary source of care, stability, and dignity.
Through this project, FAR will renovate the common room, where many of the elderly spend their time reading, playing games, exercising, watching movies and spending time together during the day. This renovation will directly enhance the daily lives of VOAH residents—affirming FAR’s commitment to honoring those who came before us and ensuring that every elder can live their later years in safety, warmth, and dignity.
