What an honor it is to run the 2023 Boston Marathon in support of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism! A hero on and off the field, Doug Flutie is an exemplary model of the Boston College Jesuit mission to live in service to others. Inspired by his relentless spirit and incredible generosity, I am seeking to raise $25,000 (or maybe more!) for his integral foundation.
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised by the Doug Flutie runners will support the charity's mission to improve the everyday lives of people and families affected by Autism. Your generosity is helping to provide access to education and employment opportunities; physical and social activities outside of work/school; and the tools to be safe, supported, and informed at all times. The ultimate goal, of course, is reaching the greatest finish line: a world in which people with Autism lead productive lives where they are included, respected, and actively engaged in their communities.
With the help of family, friends, and my Boston College community, I know we can reach this goal and do something great together. Any donation would mean the world to me and is immensely appreciated. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience if you would like to discuss matters further (hayesgb@bc.edu).
I absolutely cannot wait to run on April 17th and look forward to celebrating what WE accomplish together! Let's go Team Flutie!
Thank you,
Grace Hayes
