Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page! I have wanted to run the Dopey Challenge since I started racing about 15 years ago. I have done many half marathons, full marathons and ultra-marathons and it has been a dream to complete this challenge. When I did not get a spot during the lottery, I was disappointed but quickly thought about fundraising. I wanted to find a charity near and dear to my heart and that is when I found The Doug Flutie, Jr Foundation for Autism. I applied and did not get in. THEN on Dec 21 I received an email that they had an open spot for me and I could run Dopey AND raise money for an amazing organization. So here I am, a few days away from the race, raising 2,500 for Autism. Thank you for your help in getting me to one of my dream races!
Why The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism
Autism has impacted my family over the last few years. With the help of family, amazing therapist, school, teachers, councilors, the child with Autism is thriving!! Watching this child do things that some thought he would never do is amazing! When a child has Autism, it impacts the entire family. This organization helps and works with the entire family. Helping to raise money and awareness for Autism is such a blessing. Thank you so much for your donation!
