Hi! My name is Kenzi and I am going to run the 2019 Disney Princess 5K in honor of Emma, a beautiful little girl with Rett Syndrome. She lives in upstate New York in one of the coldest areas in the country, BRRR! Em is a funny, sassy, 12 year old. She is a 7th grader who loves everything about school except math. Her favorite color is purple, just like me! She even picked purple for the color on her chair wheels!

So what is Rett Syndrome? It's a rare neurological disorder that causes most of those who are suffering with the disease to lose their ability to speak, walk or use their hands. It is the leading genetic cause of severe impairment in girls, but can affect boys as well.

Despite their physical disabilities, girls and boys with Rett Syndrome are SMART, strong, and waiting bravely for us to unlock the door to their recovery.
