We are running in the Disney Princess Weekend Kim is doing the 10k and Charity is doing the 10k and Half Marathon for Rett Syndrome with GP2C. This is Kims first year with Team Skylar P. and this is Charitys 7th year. We are runing to raise awreness and funds for rett syndrome, for Skylar and all her rett sisters and brothers.
Kim came to know about skylar and met through Charity as we worked together. Skylar is the type that if you spend just 10 true minutes with her she will steal your heart. Skylar is 16 years old and has touched so many people in her 16 years. Skylar is an amazing, strong, beautiful, sassy, social butterfly, who is the happiest girl i have ever met.
Skylar is non-verbal, in a wheelchair, has seizures and has been through so much in her 16 years, but she wakes up every day with a smile on her face ready to take on the day and what ever it throws her way. but her facial expessions and attitude tells you everything if you just pay attention.
