In 2018, friends, colleagues and former students of Dr. Ed Rajaseelan began raising funds to create the Dr. R. Edward Rajaseelan Chemistry Scholarship, an endowed scholarship that supports outstanding students majoring in chemistry and participating in student-faculty research. We are pleased to report that the first scholarship was awarded in 2019-20, and will continue to be awarded in perpetuity.
Dr. R has served as a professor in the Chemistry Department since 1990. He has been both impactful on students’ academic success and also instrumental in the improvement of the department and MU as a whole. Dr. R also is the motivator behind many students pursuing graduate studies.
Today we’re asking all fellow chemistry graduates to join us in making a gift in honor of Dr. R. Every gift – of every size – will help us build this endowment in his name, and most importantly, show Dr. R. the difference he has made for us at Millersville. Our goal for today, on One Day Give 2021, is to raise an additional $5,000 for this scholarship.
