Welcome back team! And for anyone new here...let's talk about why Buddy Walk is still so important to us. 

Buddy Walk raises money for the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville (DSAJ), a local non-profit organization who helps hundreds of families *like ours* throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. DSAJ has helped our family since Hazel’s birth diagnosis when the DSAJ president and other parents met with us and brought our family hope and comfort during an uneasy, uncertain time. Since Hazel was born, she has become the light of our lives!!! We sometimes need extra support for her though… extra care and doctor appointments come with finances that truly add up. DSAJ gives us an allowance every year that we can put towards those medical and therapy bills and that has been SO helpful.

The DSAJ is most importantly a community to us where we don't ever feel like we are going through the Down Syndrome process alone. From kid-friendly get-togethers to workshops for us as parents to learn about how to navigate the school system, DSAJ offers us so many resources that we would not otherwise have. If you donate to our team, you are helping our Hazel girl continue to successfully develop and thrive as well as supporting hundreds of other amazing kids AND adults with Down Syndrome living in our area.
