Hello family and friends, It's that time of year again. We are very excited. What a perfect time for this walk with all the news going around that people with Down syndrome are not worthy of life. This makes me so sad. So let's spread awareness. Kaden is doing fabulous!  Kaden is our sunshine.  He has made our lives better forever. Kaden is 5 years old and will be in kindergarten this fall here in Neenah. He is smart, funny, kind, empathetic, and of course a stinker :) Kaden know's all of his letters and even some of their sounds. He knows numbers 1-20 and loves to count. He is working really hard on writing his name. Books, puzzles and blocks are some of his favorites. Give him his IPad and life is good? He struggles with playing with toys appropriately so that is a daily challenge. Kaden loves playing with balls which is a good thing because he LOVES to throw and I mean everything! Kaden is a true inspiration to us and everyone he encounters.   He inspires and pushes Lon, Karli, myself, grand parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, neighbors and even strangers to improve everyday.  We are so blessed that Kaden entered our lives and wouldn't change a single thing about him.  When Kaden was born in 2012 we had no idea where our lives would be at this point. We promised Kaden at that time that we would do whatever we could in our life to make his better.  "Our kids" have their diagnosis for life.  They wear it everyday- we can't change that.  We can educate, inspire and help them achieve anything they can dream of. Our journey took us to Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin-Fox Cities.  Their vision is that we all understand the value of those with Down Syndrome in our lives and our communities.  Continually striving for full acceptance, full access, full life and full potential. They are a chapter of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin.  DSAWFOXCITIES  provides networking opportunities for parents of children with Down Syndrome to work together in helping our children reach their greatest potential.
