Most of you know our story already, but for those that don't, here's the shortened version.  At our 20 week ultrasound we learned there were "soft signs for Downs" with our babe.  We also learned that he had a possible heart defect and an omphalocele.  When he arrived (early, no less!), he thankfully had no major heart issues, a small omphalocele that required surgery at one day old, and confirmed genetic testing for Trisomy 21.  He came home from the hospital two and a half weeks after he was born with a feeding tube and on oxygen.  At almost seven weeks old, he's thriving!  We have learned so much from the Down Syndrome community already and are excited to see where Liam takes us in life!
