"Hello from Sheri, Jason, Lincoln and Izzy!

We are participating in our third annual down syndrome walk this year.  We are walking for our beautiful daughter Isabella Hope, better known as Izzy:)  Izzy just turned two this summer and she is a funny, sweet and smart little girl.  Many of you know our story and our struggles to add to our family.  Through heartache and sadness with the loss of our twins an amazing little girl came into our lives.  We adopted Izzy in March of 2014 and have had her since she was one day old.  She was a safehaven baby left at the hospital because she had down syndrome.  She spent the first week of her life in the NICU with failure to thrive as an infant.  She was born with holes in her heart which made eating feel like a marathon to her.  At five months of age she underwent open heart surgery and had amazing results.  She was a perfect patient and her nurses loved her!  Her nickname is "Sunshine" because she is like a little ray of energy that just draws people into her wherever she goes.  Today she is a very healthy and happy perfect little girl.  The money raised through this walk will help so many families with down syndrome children as well as adults with down syndrome.  Any donation big or small is tremendously appreciated.  Our goal this year is to be the team who raises the most money and I think we can do it!  If you want to join our team and walk with us please sign up!!!  There are activites for the whole family and is a super fun day!
