Our lives changed forever in January of 2023 when our baby, Viviana (Vivi), was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a life threatening disease characterized by frequent and difficult to treat seizures, significant developmental delays, and other comorbidties. There is currently no cure for Dravet Syndrome.
As Vivi's parents and members of the Dravet community, we are on a mission to raise awareness, advance treatment, and contribute to medical research initiatives relating to this rare disease. It is our hope that fundraising efforts such as ours will change lives, including Vivi's, by helping to improve treatment and ultimately finding a cure for Dravet.
Last year, we were successful in raising funds for Nicklaus Children's Hospital Brain Institute in an effort to advance treatment for children in our local South Florida community as well as clinical & research initiatives relating to pediatric brain disorders such as Dravet Syndrome. We can't thank our friends and family enough for their support last year. We are also forever grateful for the incredible medical professionals who treat Vivi at Nicklaus and for the first responders at the City of Miami Fire-Rescue Fire Station 8 in Coconut Grove who we give credit to for helping save Vivi's life multiple times.

The mission of Dravet Syndrome Foundation is to aggressively raise funds for Dravet Syndrome and related epilepsies; to support and fund research; increase awareness; and to provide support to affected individuals and families.
