Our Ryleigh Bean was born with Dravet syndrome, it is a genetic disorder.  Although we knew something was wrong early on, she was not diagnosed until the age of 4!  Ryleigh has always been a very happy girl, she has the best smile and the best laugh.  Often she tries not to let this monster set her back, but of course it has a mind of it's own and can take her over.  There is no cure, most medications are resistant to Dravet, these poor babies who have it fight a battle every day of their lives.  Unfortuneatly, depending on the severity, many of our warriors do not make it to adulthood.  It's heart breaking!
