About World Club Foot Day
During World Clubfoot Day, there are many activities worldwide to bring awareness to clubfoot. People will learn about the the disorder, as well as celebrate by volunteering or donating to organizations that help patients with clubfoot.  Many also shout out on social media to let the community know how they are participating in the celebration of this important day.

History

The World Clubfoot Day was founded by the Ponseti International Association (PIA). They chose the date of June 3 to commemorate the birth date of Dr. Ignacio Ponseti (1914-2009), who was responsible for developing the Ponseti method of treating clubfoot.

The objective of the World Clubfoot Day is to raise awareness about clubfoot as well as its treatment through the Ponseti method. This method is a non-surgical treatment that involves the manipulation of the feet through application of temporary bracing and plaster casts.
