About me!
Dear Friends and Family,
It is with great excitement that I tell you I am training for the Disney half marathon as a member of "Dougie's Team for Autism" for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation. I will be completing 16 weeks of training for the race on Sunday, November 5th. I am writing to ask if you might consider sponsoring my participation in this race and, by doing so, help out an organization that I am passionate about!
This foundation started when Dougie Jr. was diagnosed with childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), a very rare autism spectrum disorder, when he was three years old. Doug and Laurie Flutie started the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help other people and families with autism have access to the same opportunities, therapies and programs to live life to the fullest. This foundation is near to my heart because most of my friends and family know I have a younger brother who is also diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. I will not only be running for the foundation, but also for my youger brother, Anthony.
I have committed to raise at least $2,500 to support Dougie's Team for Autism and I am asking if you would consider joining me in this effort. Your donation will go directly to funding services, programs, and therapies for children with autism to have even more opportunities to live life to the fullest.
