Hello, and welcome! My name is Logan Arguelles, and it's a pleasure to meet you! When it comes to my main interests, I mainly spend my days playing video game or writing, daydreaming about having the book I plan on wiritng become famous. I also enjoy listening to JPOP and other genres, with my favorite artists being Ado, Eve, A-ONE, and other artists like them. Other than that, there isn't too much I can really say about myself that isn't said in my other section, so I'll let you read that! Have a great day wherever you are, and please consider donating!
My Motivation
I decided to run due to my own experience with autism, as I myself have high-functioning autism, and it plays an active and large role its played in my life. Though it affects me in small ways, such as not liking certain clothes or foods because of their texture, it primarily affects me in having difficulty with my emotions, as they tend to overwhelm me at times and become difficult to communicate. Luckily though, I have many family and friends to help support me when the world becomes a bit too loud for me to handle, and its thanks to them that I've been able to come as far as I have in life, being able to do things as simple as enjoying Pokémon and Disney (my favorite movie of which is Zootopia), to difficult things such as attend the FGCU STEM academy of 2025. However, I know that there's many people like me who may not have the same experiences as me, and for them, dealing with autism has been much harder on them and those around them. To help them, please donate and support me as I run for them!
Meeting Hīro and Baymax
Yet another favorite Disney character of mine, meeting Hīro and Baymax in Disneyland California was a lot of fun, and I was extremely glad to talk to them! Shortly prior meeting them, I got a phone case of the two flying over San Fransokyo, which I still use to this day!
Ironic as it is that the previous slide was about robots, coding had never been something I was all that interested until my experience with it at the FGCU STEM camp, where my group and I were tasked with coding the robot seen here (whom we affectionately named "Sir Materix," which is pronounced like "mate-trix") with winning a race against the other groups. On the day of the presentation, not only did we win, but we did so by ten seconds more than the others!
Disney has always held a special place in my heart, becoming a lifelong obsession passed down from my mother to me, and somehow working its way into every part of mine and my family's life. Running at this Disney event and being able to give that same magic to others fills me with inspiration as I prepare to take part.
This picture was taken while I was at the FGCU STEM summer camp recently, and Azul the Eagle decided to make a special appearance for us campers! Out of over 200 candidates, only 40 made it in!
Nick Wilde has been a special Disney character to me for quite some time now, what with his cunning personality, street smarts, all his fox-like charm! It was only natural that when my family took me to Disneyland California for the first time, I'd get a selfie with him.
It was my first fishing trip ever, and me and my friends were all having fun off the coast of Marco Island despite the horrible conditions, for the water was too murky, and the wind was blowing everywhere. Despite it all, just as we were about to leave, this massive black drum appeared out of nowhere, and after half an hour and seven laps around the boat, was brought aboard in all is fishiness.
At the aforementioned FGCU summer camp, I had the honor to meet some professionals in the field of forensic science, where I plan to go into once I begin life at college. It was an absolute blast getting to talk to them, and I feel more inspired than ever to join their ranks!
