Vern and Abby are long time residence and have seen the tremendous work PDI has done to help those with diverse abilities. Helping PDI was an easy choice considering the variety of programs and options they provide to the community. They are hoping this year's event is a record setting event to further the work of PDI and meeting the needs of Pueblo.
Bios
Vern moved to Pueblo in 1993 to attend USC from north Denver. He has been working in the mortgage industry since 1997 and is owner and COO of Advantage Home Mortgage. Abby has been a teacher for 12 years. She has taught various grades and subjects, and is currently at Pueblo County High School. They met in 2017 and got married in 2020. They are both deeply rooted in the community. They try to give back to organizations here in Pueblo. Abby has participated in the Dancing with the Pueblo County stars for the last two years, with Vern as her “special guest.” The couple hopes this experience gives them confidence on this stage. They hope that community members, family, and friends show up and help them reach their fundraising goal for PDI.
