Lisa Rodgers was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and earned her degree in Business Administration from Hickey College. She was diagnosed with bi-polar depression and anxiety. She has found that through medication, support from family and friends, and maintaining a positive attitude, she is capable of managing her illness.  

Lisa became a member of Independence Center Clubhouse on March 14, 2016. While at the Clubhouse, she volunteers at the Snack Bar and sometimes in the Upper Level Unit (Kitchen, Flower Shop, Sanitation of Upper Level areas). Through her involvement, she has built positive and supportive relationships and has gained leadership skills.  

She says, "I am excited for the opportunity to participate in the Dancing with the St. Louis Stars event. This is an important event that will help us raise money for Independence Center to benefit more members like me."
