I am so excited to raise money for Sparrow Clubs through my participation in the 15th annual Dancing with the Rogue Valley Stars! Donating to my page will not only help me compete for the Shining Star Award (most money raised), it will also help Sparrow Clubs continue to impact thousands of students with compassion by empowering them to help local families with children in medical need. Your support means so much to me and to Sparrow Clubs! Click the "Donate Now" button to become one of my supporters! Thank you for cheering me on!
The Sparrow Clubs Impact
Lucas Ivey was raised in the Rogue Valley. He started dancing when he was 13 at social ballroom dances and fell in love with dancing. He began taking local youth classes and from there began to compete in local ballroom competitions. These competitions are what really made Lucas fall in love with dance, especially the waltzes. He found something so graceful about the motion of the dance and how it seemed to glide across the floor. After his third year of competing at the ballroom, Lucas took a short break from the ballroom and joined a competitive dance team for contemporary and ballet dance! He was with them for a year and went to several conventions and competitions in Portland.
Lucas is currently a full-time college student studying Digital Cinema at Southern Oregon University. He loves film with a passion and hopes to make a career out of making feature length movies in the future.
Lucas has a large passion for art, and he incorporates it into the things he does in any way possible! Whether that be through dance, music, leatherwork, or film, he is all for bringing in that extra artistic flare to make it appealing rather than functional.
