Beaver Gilman
Beaver was born and raised in Medford and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He studied abroad in Mexico, attended Siskiyou Community College, and coached both track and football at Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s schools. Beaver has worked for Horizon Airlines over the last 23 years, although traveling often, he still manages to support important causes, locally and internationally. Beaver has been a volunteer for the Family Nurturing Center for over 8 years, flew to the Philippines annually to volunteer to help kids living in extreme poverty, and went to Nairobi Kenya to help bring supplies and help kids educationally. Beaver has also been the Cherry Lane “Grinch” for the last 7 years, benefiting Honor Flight. He has a big heart and is often the first person to help a friend or a stranger in need. His personal hobbies include travel, camping, riding motorcycles, caring for and spending time with family and friends.
Beaver has been personally impacted by having a sparrow in his life over the last 4 years and understands firsthand the significance of this program and the impact it has for sparrows and their families. His personal goal is to raise a significant amount of support for Sparrow Clubs, while raising awareness for the program as well.
