Ken Frownfelter is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a longtime member of the Grants Pass community and police Officer with the Grants Pass Police Dept. He has served in law enforcement for over two decades, including roles in patrol, investigations, and as a School Resource Officer, where he is passionate about mentoring youth and strengthening relationships between public safety and the community. Ken is married and a proud father of two grown children, and he values faith, family, fitness, and service above all. Outside of work, Ken is a Karate instructor, a TEDx speaker, and a men’s coach who encourages others to live with purpose and legacy in mind. When he’s not training, speaking, or creating content for his podcast, he enjoys early morning workouts, time with his family, and being active in the local community. Ken is excited (and maybe just a little challenged!) to step onto the dance floor for Dancing with the Rogue Valley Stars to support a great cause and give back to the community he cares so deeply about.

Sydney Smedley is the owner of Panache Dance Co.!  She was born and raised in the Rogue Valley and enjoys all that it has to offer. Her love for dance began at age 5 and continued throughout her childhood as she studied mostly Jazz and Ballroom locally. She graduated from SMHS and went on to study dance at Brigham Young University – Idaho where she studied every style of dance, she could get her hands on.  There she met her “smokin’ hott” husband Skyler and they have now been married 15 years. Sydney is wildly outnumbered at home with their four boys, Greyson, McKay, Beckham and Nixon. They love to play all sports, travel together and have awesome dance parties as often as possible. Sydney spends most of her extra time running Panache Dance Co. that is currently in its 13th year of business!  She is very proud of the culture at Panache where dancers are encouraged to be the best versions of themselves both as dancers and people. Sydney is super excited to be a part of such a wonderful and impactful event for the community and looks forward to her eighth year being a part of DWTRVS!
