On April 1st, 2023, Carey Pung caused mass hysteria in his community by devising a scheme to trick people into believing that Okeechobee High School’s mascot was being changed from a Brahman back to a Catfish. He allegedly had his students create fake videos and interviews to further this goal. He apparently did this purely out of the joy he gains from promoting his students’ work on social media @OHS Journalism. This con artist has been apprehended and a bail of $401 has been posted.
