Janet Mckenzie has been a volunteer at the EHF Childcare Development Center since 2017. She started out as a driver for field trips, then assisted teachers and staff, making and serving lunches for the students and patting backs at nap time. Over the years, she has volunteered in all the classrooms helping with crafts projects, reading to children, making costumes, and assisting with the holiday programs. Prior to volunteering at the center, she served and retired from the US Navy, and served as the Parish Adminstrator at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Tucson for 11 years.
Gordon Mckenzie began volunteering to assist with the Circle of Care Gala in 2022, then with the 5K run in 2023. He retired from Raytheon Missile Systems in May of 2022 after 24 years in Business Development. Prior to that, he served and retired from the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer. Gordon coached soccer for 30+ years and served as the President of Neighborhood Youth Soccer League in Virginia Beach, VA and Ft. Lowell Soccer Club and RSL Arizona in Tucson.
Two of our grandchildren have graduated from the Erik Hite Foundation CDC.
