What Past Vacation Winner had to say about this vacation:

2023's St. Croix Vacation winner, Pat Roth, had this to say about this vacation, "We were given Steve’s contact information and soon reached out to him. He sent us a link with pictures, and some information about St Croix. Steve was very accommodating and said you just choose when you would like to come down and we will see if it is available. Wife Jerri and I talked it over and decided it would be fun if we took another couple with us. We asked one of my Air Force brothers if he and his wife would like to go, they said 'sign us up!' They were ecstatic!! We worked on some dates and decided on the week before Thanksgiving 2023. We then let Steve know what dates we had chosen, and it was available, so we booked it. Next, we had to choose our airfare and to me this is the only drawback of going to St Croix (which in the end I understood better) is that only certain airlines fly to the island and at certain times.

Upon arrival on the island Steve was there and it was nice to put a face to a name and chat with him before heading to the rental car location. Once we picked up the rental and started driving on the wrong side of the road, we made our way out across the island to find the condo. The drive was easy and as we pulled into the gated community we were pleasantly pleased with our choice during the auction. The staff there was amazing, very friendly as well and gave some good tips about things we could do in the area. Everything was just as nice as Steve’s pictures showed, and he described. The condo was an amazing place to stay, and beautifully decorated. We were able to cook dinner in or go out as it has everything you need there, just bring shorts, a bathing suit, sunscreen, and a smile! It is a very peaceful place to just hang out. The pool area is incredible with a hot tub and plenty of chairs for sunbathing. The beach on the back side is beautiful, a little rocky, but very relaxing to sit and watch / listen to the waves. There was a very nice sandy beach next door with a great restaurant. We were also not far from downtown and the harbor where all the ship traffic comes and goes.

Some other things we did while on the island were snorkeling (Steve provided all the gear and a great location to go) and our first attempt at ziplining and we loved it. We also enjoyed the crab racing (Tito & Sue’s) at a local brewery. At the crab races we won an evening excursion on a catamaran just off the west end of the island with all the free rum you could drink. We also visited the Captain Morgan distillery since the wife loves the captain. On the other side of the island there is a Casino as well that was fun, but hard on the wallet!

Thanks to Steve and his wife for putting this up for auction in 2023, it was probably the best vacation I have ever been on."
