Ignite the Night!
Join us on Thursday, June 4, where our partners and friends will gather at The Georgia Room in The Freehand Hotel in New York City to raise money for our 31st summer of Camp AmeriKids! We will enjoy an evening of delicious food and an open bar, all in support of our work in enriching the lives of underserved children living with sickle cell disease. Over 150 people will attend and hear rewarding stories from our former campers and learn more about the challenges of living with sickle cell disease. The event promises to be a spectacular evening with many in the philanthropic community in attendance!
WHO WE ARE
Founded in 1995, The ELM Project provides a residential summer camp and a year-round leadership program for youth with sickle cell disease, entirely free of charge. We originally began focused on serving children with HIV/AIDS and recently changed our mission to better reflect the population we are currently serving: children and families living with sickle cell disease. Our mission is to uplift and empower disadvantaged youth by equipping them with the tools to lead successful, independent, and productive lives. Our programs provide children with opportunities to obtain critical life skills, learn how to trust themselves and others, discover new strengths and passions, and believe in their own potential. This August, we will be celebrating our 31st summer of Camp AmeriKids!
