Els for Autism® was established in 2009 by World Golf Hall of Famer Ernie Els, his wife Liezl, and Marvin R. Shanken - shortly after the Els’ son, Ben, was diagnosed on the autism spectrum, which affects one in 36 children in the U.S. Els for Autism is dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their caregivers through comprehensive lifespan services and collaborative partnerships. We envision a world of limitless possibilities for individuals with autism and their families.

Els for Autism aims to lead the world in customized programs for autistic individuals by sharing best practices through published research and developing replicable models of intervention. Our lifespan services start at 12 months with early detection, diagnosis, early intervention, and parent training.

We continue with education through the school years, extending into adulthood with therapeutic, recreational, vocational, and social support. Our dedicated team of autism service providers, which include doctoral-level clinicians, have experiences in applied behavior analysis, education, employment, mental health counseling, music therapy, occupational therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and speech-language pathology.

Els for Autism has provided services to families and professionals in 28 countries around the globe. In addition to its U.S. location, Els for Autism has foundations in Canada, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Your generous contribution to Els for Autism will further our mission of transforming the lives of individuals and families touched by autism around the world.
