From the age of 6, I have spent my summers at Girl Scout camp where I learned to cook over a fire, floated down rivers, and make new friends, many who are important in my life today. As I grew up and became a counselor, trip leader, and camp director, my leadership skills grew and I was able to make an impact on the next generation of campers. I've helped campers grow in confidence overcoming homesickness, learn the skills to take responsibility and mend a broken friendship, and find a place where they belong and can truely be themselves.
