I've been a Heart Hero parent since 2009, so CHD has been important to me since then. I had to learn all about my sons defects, which turned into me wanting to become a nurse and work on the same unit that took such great care of him.
Fast forward eleven years and my dream has come true. I'm now a nurse at the University of Michigan's Mott Pediatric Cardiothoracic ICU, taking care of the CHD population.
I chose to run for CHD research because of how special the cause is to me. I've seen the amazing things we are able to do for this population, and I want to help raise more funds to help this foundation.
