I am running the New York City marathon this November for the Children's Heart Foundation to advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of congenital heart defects (CHDs). As pediatric cardiac ICU nurse at Boston Children's Hospital I have seen how life altering congenital heart disease can be for these patients and their families.
