My name is Keegan Mendez. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York. I recently completed my PhD at MIT where I developed devices for cardiac drug delivery and benchtop models to study cardiovascular disease. I will be starting medical school at HMS this fall with the hope of becoming a cardiologist. I run for the Children's Heart Foundation because I am passionate about supporting research that will aid in the treatment and prevention of congenital heart disease, which can ultimately help to save and prolong lives.
