Jazz is a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier (Staffy).  When Jazz was 6 months she suffered an injury with her previous owners, they didn't realize her foot was broken and since she was in pain, Jazz ate two of her toes.  She was taken to the vet, but didn't receive the treatment recommended,  Jazz's foot became infected and was not healing.  At 9 months old her previous owners surrendered her to ACS and the reason they wrote on the paperwork was "She is too much and not what we expected."

By the time she was surrendered we had seen her picture on the ACS website and were waiting for her.  At that time we learned about her injury and were told she would need an amputation.  We had no idea what to expect with a tripawd, but she was coming home with us no matter what.  Jazz had her hind leg amputated December 17,2019 and she came home the next day.  She was on her feet in no time and being a tripawd has never stopped her.  She is one social dog and loves meeting new people and dogs.  Her sweet and loving personality wins hearts everywhere she goes and we work hard to bring awareness to the Bully Breed dogs.  Jazz loves attending Fiesta events and that's why she is running for "El Rey Fido" 2025
