Christmas of 2019 marked a pivotal moment in our lives. Our baby girl, only 10 months old, woke up from her morning nap in a post-ictal state. At the time, we were unaware of what this meant, but we knew we needed emergency services. After 22 seizures and three months of daily medication, we finally managed to gain control of the situation, and our little one went a year and a half without any seizures. Witnessing her growth and development free from seizures was nothing short of amazing. However, one morning, the seizures resumed. Despite every effort to find answers, we have yet to identify a cause, and she remains on medication, which we adjust whenever she experiences a breakthrough episode.

Our fervent hope is that a cure for her condition is found soon. As of today, our baby girl has been seizure-free for one year and four months! We’d like this streak to continue indefinitely.
