At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Help a child. April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and during the month of April ChildSafe has set a fundraising goal of $1 million which will go towards helping us serve thousands more children. Bexar county has one of the highest rates of child abuse in the state of Texas. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience sexual abuse in their lifetime. Only 1 in 10 children will tell about the abuse. Our goal is to reach the other 90% of children who never tell, while continuing to serve the brave innocents who do tell.
