2025 Gala Frequently Asked Questions

Prior to the Event

1. What are my ticket options? 
We offer 3 Gala Packages. You can purchase Individual Tickets if you are purchasing for fewer than 8 guests. The Gala Table package includes 8 tickets to fill an entire table. The VIP Gala Table seats 10 and comes with a special wine selection and validated parking. 

If you are not intending to attend the gala, but would like to participate in the Silent Auction, we do have the Silent Auction ONLY package for $0. However, this does not allow entry into the gala and is ONLY for virtual access to the auction. 

2. Are discounts available?
We offer Early Bird discounts to Contemporary Circles members only. This offer ends April 1, 2025. If you are interested in becoming a member of Contemporary Circles, please contact Kaitlin Mills at kaitlin.mills@utahmoca.org or visit this link

3. Can I buy a ticket at the door? 
No. Gala tickets typically sell out weeks in advance and are unavailble to purchase at the door. 

4. Do you offer refunds if I can't attend? 
We do not offer refunds on Gala tickets, but we are happy to convert your purchase to a fully tax-deductible donation. 

5. What payment methods are available for tickets? 
We take Credit Card, Check, Echeck, and Cash. If you wish to purchase a ticket package with check or cash, please contact Kaitlin Mills at kaitlin.mills@utahmoca.org

6. I have accessibility needs/dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate me? 
Absolutely. The gallery is wheelchair accessible. Each guest has the option to enter their dietary restrictions when they register their ticket. 

7. What is the dress code for the event? 
The dress code is Silver, Black Tie, or Mod. After purchasing tickets, you will receive a Gala Lookbook with dress code inspiration. 

8. Where can I find information about the event schedule?
Once you've purchase tickets to the gala, you will receive a Gala Briefing packet in the mail. It will contain information about the gala, including the evening's schedule. If you have any additional questions, please contact Kaitlin Mills at kaitlin.mills@umoca.org

9. How do I pre-register my dietary restrictions and payment information for the Gala? 
In order to make the evening go as smoothly as possible, we ask that you please pre-register yourself and your guests using the Givi app. More information on how to use the app is located to the right. 

At the Event

1. Where and when does the gala take place? 
The Factory Gala will occur at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, 20 S West Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, starting at 6:30 pm. The Silent Auction will be hosted in UMOCA's Street Gallery, located in the upstairs portion of the museum. Dinner, the Live Auction, and Entertainment will be hosted in the Main Gallery. 

2. Where should I park? 
There is limited paid street parking on West Temple outside of the museum. Additionally, there is public parking located across the street at City Creek Shopping Center (free for the first 2 hours and $3 per each additional hour). There are multiple public paid parking lots within a few blocks of UMOCA. 

3. When does the Silent Art Auction go live? 
Join us at UMOCA for the opening of The Factory Gala Art Auction exhibit, May 14 from 6-9. Starting with the opening, the auction will go live on the Givi app and all items will be open for bidding until the closing of the gala, June 14 at 10:30 pm. 

4. Do I have to buy a ticket to the Gala to bid on the Silent Auction?
No. The Silent Auction is open to the public. However, even if you are not planning on attending the Gala, you do still have to register. You can do this through "purchasing" the free Silent Auction ONLY ticket package option and then registering through the Givi app. You must register on the Givi app to bid on auction items

5. Will alcohol be served at the Gala?
Yes! There will be alcholic cocktails and beverages available at the Gala. There will also be non-alcoholic cocktails available. Please make sure to bring your ID if you wish to purchase alcohol. 

6. How do I check out at the end of the Gala/pay for my items? 
In order to make the event go smoothly, and to speed up your check in and out process, we ask that you please pre-register for the Gala in the Givi app. By entering your payment information into the app, you will ensure that your check-out can happen with the click of a button! We will have volunteers on hand at the event to assist with check-out, but by pre-registering, you will ensure a speedy process for all involved. 

7. How do I become a Gala Sponsor?
