Sofie and I will be completing a creative 5K together (specifics TBD, but we definitely will not be running) to raise money for Independent Animal Rescue this spring! 

Why do we 5K for IAR?

I first became familiar with IAR when we fostered (and then quickly adopted!) Sofie, and since then the organization has only grown nearer and dearer to my heart. In addition to its dog and cat foster/adoption programs, IAR ensures injured and unwell animals get the medical care they need, provides spay/neuter procedures for homeless and community-owned pets alike, and is supported by a network of 300+ volunteers that work tirelessly, 24/7/365 to help animals in need. IAR's work in the community makes a real difference, and it truly would not be possible without support from animal lovers like us.
