Key Facts About FASD and Proof Alliance's Impact
- FASD affects up to 1 in 20 children in the U.S., making it more common than autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome combined.
- Proof Alliance serves thousands of families every year, providing critical support, education, and advocacy.
- Nearly half of pregnancies are unplanned, and most are not recognized until 4+ weeks—meaning many people may drink alcohol before knowing they are pregnant, even though most stop once pregnancy is confirmed.
- In 2025, Proof Alliance facilitated over 4,000 hours of training for educators, caregivers, and medical professionals, significantly expanding FASD knowledge.
By attending the Annual Proof Alliance Benefit for FASD, you help us continue to expand our efforts and reach more communities.
