Hi Everyone! I'm walking during a 16-hour fast to benefit two amazing charities supporting youth with disabilities. Ten cities and hundreds of athletes will embrace the spirit of Ramadan by fasting, raising charitable funds and building community for good while taking part in our annual 5K event. This year, Fasting 5K is working to support SMILE Canada's Life Skills Program and IMANA's Cleft Lip Surgeries in Sudan.

Details on Our Charity Partners

INTERNATIONAL CHARITY PARTNER: IMANA
30% of all donations from each city running the Fasting 5K will go towards our international charity partner IMANA, towards their SaveSmile Surgical Mission. IMANA will perform cleft lip surgeries on small children and youth in Khartoum, Sudan. IMANA Medical Relief has been undertaking this for 9 years now and has done 1,388 successful surgeries so far.

LOCAL CHARITY PARTNER: SMILE Canada
70% of all donations in Toronto will go towards our local charity partner in Toronto, SMILE Canada- Support Services towards their Life Skills Program. The SMILE Youth Life Skills Program encourages SMILE Youth to learn and practice skills focusing on self care/management, recreation, community participation, and social skills in their daily activities.

With the help from Fasting5K, SMILE will be able to offer this much needed service to 40 Youth registered with SMILE today and over 50 SMILE Children who will be transitioning to adulthood within the next two years.
