It has been a challenging year for almost everyone in New York City. And as we enter the holiday season, many of our traditions have been placed on hold. Thanksgiving will feel different this year. Which is why we think this is the perfect time to do something positive and help local families in need.

We are hoping to feed 100 NYC families on Thanksgiving with the help of FeedingNYC.

How you can help: By donating just $35, you can feed a local family on Thanksgiving. Your donation would purchase a FeedingNYC box that contains one big and hearty meal, including a whole turkey, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, juices and dessert.

In celebration of the launch of the Mets Briefing, rather than charging readers for premium content, we have decided to offer the newsletter for free, hoping fans will pay it forward by giving any money they would have offered for the newsletter to local charities instead.

Since 2001, FeedingNYC has dedicated efforts to providing families in need with the essential ingredients to host their own Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. Our network of volunteers, donors, and sponsors unite to raise funds to buy, assemble, and deliver these boxes of meals throughout the five boroughs. 

We are dedicated to helping feed the NYC communities where we work in, enjoy, and call home. Each year we strive to provide Thanksgiving dinner to as many families who are living in shelters as possible. We’re not just delivering meals, we’re delivering hope to those who need it most. One small box, can make an incredible impact for a family in need this year.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, we feel our services are needed more than ever. Our city’s shelters have experienced a surge of record-breaking demand and desperately need the additional support to accommodate food shortages and lasting effects of this pandemic.
